God told me to go to a 3-day conference in Shawnee, Oklahoma, 400 miles away. I had to pay or a hotel and food, and I didn’t have money left for gas on the way home. My fuel light had already been on for a while when I hit Springfield, Missouri, 100 miles from home. I said to God, “You told me to go to this thing so this isn’t my problem.” I covered the gas gauge so I didn’t keep watching it and kept driving. I made it home on that empty tank of gas.
Pay day was still 4 days away, and I kept driving my van on that empty tank all week. I never ran out of gas until payday. When there is obedience, there is God’s blessing.
